WARNING: This is a salad you won't be able to stop eating! 😋
It's essentially a twist on a traditional wedge salad, but even betterrrrrr. This one is a little lighter, a little more nutritious, and even more delicious because ... avocado! 🥑 I used Romaine lettuce to provide that refreshing crunch you get from Iceberg lettuce (traditionally used in a wedge salad), but Romaine packs more of a nutritional punch. Oh, and the dressing MAKES it. No extra blue cheese crumbles are necessary because the dressing is full of flavor. I used the blue cheese dressing from the newest organic yogurt dressing line from Bolthouse Farms, and I was so impressed! It's lower in calories and fat, made with organic ingredients you can trust, and is incredibly flavorful.
Here's the recipe for your tasting pleasure:
Healthier Wedge Salad
- 2 cups chopped Romaine lettuce
- 2-3 strips cooked bacon
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 small/medium avocado, sliced
- 3 tablespoons chopped green onions
- 2-3 tablespoons Bolthouse Farms blue cheese dressing
Directions: Assemble lettuce on a plate, add all the amazing toppings, and DIG IN!
I've been eating this salad on repeat for lunch lately. It's especially perfect for my low carb days! It's so refreshing, tasty, and packed with protein and healthy fats. 👌🏻👌🏻

P.S. I can't recommend Bolthouse Farms dressings enough ... it's the one brand of dressings I will consistently buy for my family!
